Google Meets

How do I access Google Meets?

  1. Navigate to
    https://meet.google.com/
  2. Click on the top right to sign in with your KIPP Texas Google credentials 


How do I start/join a video meeting?

  1. Press Join or start a new meeting if you are hosting the meeting
  2. To join an existing meeting, enter the meeting code. To start a new one, leave it blank or enter a new meeting name. Then select Continue
  3. Allow meet.google.com to use your microphone and camera for full meeting functionality
  4. Hit Join now to start a meeting. Once a meeting is started, it will show connection & dial in information to forward to attendees
 

How do I schedule a meeting?

  1. Go to Google Calendar and create an event
  2. Add a title
  3. Under Guests type start typing the name of the Person or Google Classroom you want to add the meeting. (Note: this will add all the students in that classroom to the meeting invite.)


Google Meets App for Outlook

  1. To add Google Meet to Outlook, click Home > Get Add-ins on the ribbon. This may also be called “Store” in some versions of Outlook.
  2. Search for Google Meets and Install.
  3. This will add a Google Meets button to the ribbon in emails and calendar invites in Outlook, for adding meetings. When scheduling a meeting in outlook, look for this button in the ribbon
  4. The first time you click this button you will have to sign in with your kipp texas google account
