Overview

Frontline Special Education & Interventions V3 (formerly eSpEd) is a compliance platform used to create and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Admission, Review, & Dismissals (ARDs), related services, and 504 documentation. The Student Support Services team leverages this tool to track documentation and relevant PEIMS data from Frontline V3 syncs into Skyward on a nightly basis.

Targeted Schools and Grade Levels

Frontline V3 is a districtwide application used for all grade levels PK-12.

Rostering

Student enrollment and demographic information is managed via a file upload process directly from Skyward. A report is generated nightly by Skyward and uploaded to Frontline’s sFTP server, where it is processed.

Skyward Data Imports

Currently three types of data syncs nightly with Skyward.

  • ARD information - includes key PEIMS data points like Disability Codes, Instructional Setting, Speech Indicator, Multiple Disability, Child Count Funding Type, Regional day School Deaf, Early Childhood Intervention, Pre-School Disability Indicator, ESCE Service Location, interpreting Services, Medically Fragile, and Assistive Technology, Program Dates
  • Related Services & Dates
  • 504 PEIMS Indicator and Dates

Students need to be flagged as PEIMS reportable to be included in the data synchronization.

There is currently no data sync for dyslexia services. Dyslexia coding needs to be hand entered into Skyward.

User Access

User access is not managed by IT Application or the nightly roster sync. Users needing access should reach out to their regional special education manager, who can send an invite via your KTX email address.

When users are invited they select a password for the system. Google SSO is currently not enabled or supported.

For users to log into Frontline V3.

  • Navigate to the Frontline Login page
  • Username is the user’s KTX Email address
  • Password is the password selected when invited to the system

Need Support

  • For rostering or access issues, please submit a ticket to IT Applications
  • For access, please reach out to your regional special education manager
  • For issues related to data syncing into skyward, contact your regional special education manager to review the ARD data history. 90% of issues are due to errors in program or service dates in Frontline V3. If the issue cannot be resolved, your regional manager can place a ticket with IT Applications
  • Vendor support can be contacted via email: Frontline SEI eStar Support seiestarsupport@frontlineed.com
